Abstract: | La violencia es uno de los problemas más graves que se enfrentan en
la actualidad en el mundo en diversos ámbitos como el familiar y el de las
relaciones de noviazgo de universitarios. La atención ha sido puesta en la
violencia conyugal, dejando de lado que ésta no comienza con el inicio de
la cohabitación sino en etapas previas. Objetivo: Identificar la presencia
de alguna forma de violencia en las relaciones de noviazgo. Metodología: cuantitativa. Población: estudiantes de una universidad portuguesa. Muestra:
627 estudiantes. Los resultados revelan que los universitarios de esta
universidad ejercen y reciben violencia en sus relaciones de noviazgo,
observándose la mayor incidencia en la modalidad psicológica, incluyendo
el abuso verbal. El maltrato físico se presenta en menor porcentaje: es revelador
que 14.4% expresa su agresividad a través de mordidas y 7.3% con
empujones y bofetadas, patadas, intentos de estrangulamiento, así como
agresiones con arma de fuego. Estas formas de violencia son analizadas
tanto desde la perspectiva del agresor como de la víctima. Violence is one of the most serious problems in the world in various fields such as family relationships and dating in college. The attention has been centralized to the domestic violence, ignoring that it does not begin with the cohabitation but in previous stages. Objective: Identify the presence of some violence forms in dating relationships. Methodology: quantitative. Population: students from a Portuguese university. Sample: 627 students. The results reveal that the students of this university perform and receive violence in their dating relationships, showing the highest incidence in the psychological form, including verbal abuse, physical abuse occurs in lower percentage: although it is significant that 14.4% expresses aggression through biting and 7.3% with pushing and slapping, kicking, attempted strangulation and assault with a firearm. These forms of violence are analyzed from the perspective of the aggressor and victim. |
