Abstract: With the introduction of the neuroleptics, the psychotherapeutic approaches lost much :f-f of their importance in the treatment of the schizophrenia, being even sometimes considered as bad practice in the absence of neuroleptics. Nevertheless a careful review of the literature g shows that psychotherapy maintains all of its importance in the therapeutic arsenal of E schizophrenia and that its absence can be bad practice. Client Centered Therapy offers an important therapeutic approach to schizophrenia especially from the perspective of Pre» lie-l Therapy and the work of Gary Prouty. The quality of the training of the psychotherapists ' V appears one of the key elements for its success.
